There is a holy calling placed upon the lives of those who truly belong to the Lord Jesus Christ. The children of the Most-High are not called to blend in with the corrupt patterns, ungodly customs, and rebellious ways of this present world system. Instead, believers are commanded to walk differently, speak differently, think differently, and conduct themselves in a manner worthy of the Kingdom of God.
The Holy Scriptures make it clear that the followers of Jesus Christ are strangers and pilgrims passing through a fallen world filled with spiritual darkness. The people of God are not to imitate the behavior of a rebellious culture that has rejected the righteousness of the Almighty. Rather, they are called to live lives marked by holiness, obedience, humility, discernment, and complete surrender unto the will of God.
The apostle Paul declared in Second Epistle to the Corinthians 6:17:
“Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing…”
This powerful command reminds believers that spiritual separation from ungodliness is not optional. The Lord God Almighty has always called His people to be distinct from the systems of darkness operating within the world. A child of God cannot fully walk in intimacy with heaven while continually embracing the corrupt practices of rebellion, compromise, immorality, pride, and spiritual deception.
The true follower of Jesus Christ understands that salvation is not merely about religious confession. Salvation is a transformation of the heart, mind, conduct, and lifestyle through surrender unto the Lordship of Christ. The believer is called to deny the flesh daily and submit completely unto the will of God.
Jesus Himself declared in Gospel of Luke 9:23:
“If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.”
Following Jesus Christ requires sacrifice, obedience, discipline, and unwavering devotion. The modern world promotes self-worship, self-exaltation, and fleshly gratification, but the Kingdom of God calls believers into humility, purity, and holy submission.
The Holy Bible continually teaches that believers are to pattern their lives after the example established by the Lord Jesus Christ Himself. Christ walked in complete obedience unto the Father. He lived with purity, compassion, authority, holiness, prayerfulness, and total surrender to the divine will of God.
In Epistle of First Peter 2:21, the Scriptures declare:
“Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps.”
This present world system celebrates darkness while mocking righteousness. Evil is glorified openly, while holiness is often rejected, ridiculed, and despised. Yet the chosen vessels of God must remain steadfast. The believer’s identity is not rooted in worldly approval but in heavenly truth.
The Word of God also teaches that both husbands and wives are called to honorable conduct before the Lord. Marriage is not meant to reflect the confusion and disorder of the world system. Instead, it is to demonstrate love, respect, faithfulness, sacrifice, purity, and godly order.
In Epistle to the Ephesians 5:25, husbands are instructed:
“Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it.”
Likewise, wives are called to walk in wisdom, honor, and godly character. Both husband and wife are accountable before God to conduct themselves as holy vessels worthy of respect and dignity.
The Scriptures further declare in Epistle of First Peter 1:15-16:
“But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.”
Holiness is not an outdated message. It remains the divine standard of the Kingdom of God. The true believer understands that this earthly life is temporary, and therefore chooses to live with eternity in mind.
The children of the Most-High must no longer desire acceptance from a rebellious world system that opposes the righteousness of God. Instead, believers are called to pursue intimacy with the Lord Jesus Christ through prayer, worship, obedience, fasting, studying the Scriptures, and walking in continual fellowship with the Holy Ghost.
In Epistle to the Romans 12:2, the Word of God commands:
“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind…”
This transformation takes place through daily surrender unto God. The believer who submits fully unto Christ begins to reflect the character, wisdom, and nature of heaven even while living in the midst of a dark and fallen world.
The chosen ones of God are not called to walk according to the standards of earthly corruption. They are called to be lights shining in darkness, honorable vessels sanctified for the Master’s use, and faithful ambassadors of the Kingdom of Heaven until the glorious return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
