Welcome, beloved. I’m , Pastor-Evangelist Robert Thomas Jr., and this is a serious word today. I want every listener to hear me clearly. We are living in a time when many people want religion without obedience, church without repentance, worship without holiness, and salvation without full surrender to the Word of God.
Now let me ask you a direct question:
Under what name were you baptized?
This is not a small matter. When the gospel was preached in the book of Acts, the people were commanded to repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins.
Acts 2:38 declares, “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”
That is Bible. That is apostolic preaching. Peter did not say choose your own way. He said, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ.
So I ask again: Under what name were you baptized?
If you were never baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, you need to go back to the Bible and obey the Word of God. This is not about tradition, denomination, or what people feel comfortable with. This is about obeying the revealed Word of God.
Acts 4:12 says, “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”
The name matters because Jesus is the saving name. The apostles preached, taught, prayed, healed, and baptized in His name.
Romans 6:3-4 says, “Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death…”
Baptism is not just a religious ceremony. It is a burial. It is identification with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. But baptism must be joined with true repentance. Going down in water without a repentant heart does not produce a holy life.
And hear me clearly, beloved: you must be filled with the Holy Ghost, not the unholy spirit of this present wicked world system. It is the Holy Ghost of Acts chapter 1 that imparts witnessing power and living power to defeat Satan’s evil temptations. Jesus said in Acts 1:8, “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me…”
It is the Holy Ghost who enables you to love, live holy, walk in truth, and stay in Bible obedience and submission to the manifest will of Jesus Christ through the Word of God. You cannot overcome this dark world system by fleshly strength, religious performance, or human willpower alone. You need the power of the Holy Ghost working in your life.
The born-again child of God must live holy. Holiness is not optional for spiritual development. Holiness is the lifestyle of those who truly belong to the Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Peter 1:15-16 says, “But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.”
Living holy affects your spirit, your mind, your decisions, your body, your relationships, your health, and your daily walk. Sin damages the soul, corrupts the mind, and opens doors to bondage and confusion. But obedience to God brings peace, strength, clarity, and fellowship with the Holy Spirit.
The world may not like this message. The religious crowd may reject it. But I would rather tell you the truth and see your soul delivered than flatter you while you walk toward destruction.
Jesus said in John 8:32, “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
So today, I’m calling every listener back to Bible obedience.
Stop playing with sin. Stop flirting with darkness. Stop allowing this present wicked world system to shape your mind, your body, your relationships, and your spiritual condition. Return to the Word of God. Return to repentance. Return to holiness. Return to obedience. Return to the name of Jesus Christ. And be filled with the Holy Ghost, because it is the Spirit of God who gives you power to live right, witness boldly, resist the devil, and remain submitted to the Lord Jesus Christ.
Hebrews 3:15 says, “Today if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts…”
This is not the hour to be lukewarm. This is not the hour to be religious but unconverted. The Lord is calling His people to come out from among darkness and walk in the light of Jesus Christ.
The question remains:
Under what name were you baptized?
And even more than that:
Are you filled with the Holy Ghost and living in obedience to the One whose name you claim?
Repent. Believe the gospel. Be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Walk in holiness. Live as a true born-again child of God.
This has been Pastor-Evangelist Robert Thomas Jr., calling you back to Bible obedience in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
