A Kingdom Discussion for the Remnant Church
Opening Discussion — A Wake-Up Call to the Body of Christ
Welcome to another powerful Kingdom discussion brought to you by The Gathering Place Houston — where believers from around the world gather to grow deeper in the truth of the Word of God and pursue a genuine Kingdom Lifestyle through Jesus Christ.
Tonight’s discussion centers around a very serious subject confronting the modern generation of believers: holiness, obedience, and true spiritual transformation.
We are living in an hour where many individuals claim the name of Jesus Christ outwardly, but inwardly their hearts remain far away from Him. The entertainment spirit has overtaken many assemblies. Fleshly compromise is being tolerated, celebrated, and even preached as acceptable among those who profess Christianity. Yet the Word of God still calls God’s people unto separation, righteousness, purity, and obedience.
The Lord Jesus Christ never called His people to blend in with the sinful systems of this present world. He called believers to become lights in darkness, ambassadors of truth, and vessels sanctified unto honor.
📖 The Evidence of Genuine Salvation
One of the greatest questions every believer must ask themselves is this:
Has my life truly been transformed by the power of Jesus Christ?
Salvation is more than church attendance. It is more than emotional excitement. It is more than simply claiming Christianity with the lips while living contrary to the Word of God.
The truly born-again believer begins to experience inward transformation through the power of the Holy Spirit.
📖 John 8:31-32 (KJV)
“Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
True discipleship produces spiritual fruit. The Word of God becomes alive inside the believer. Sin no longer becomes comfortable. Conviction begins to grow stronger. The believer begins to hate what God hates and love what God loves.
📖 2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV)
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
✨ Outward Religion Without Inner Transformation
There are many people today who possess a religious appearance but deny the transforming power of God.
📖 2 Timothy 3:1-5 (KJV)
“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.”
This Scripture perfectly describes much of modern society. Many people desire religion without repentance. They desire blessings without surrender. They desire Heaven without holiness.
Yet Jesus Christ repeatedly warned humanity that outward appearances alone cannot save the soul.
📖 Matthew 23:27-28 (KJV)
“Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men’s bones, and of all uncleanness.
Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.”
🔥 The Renewing of the Mind Through God’s Word
The born-again believer is continually transformed through daily fellowship with God.
This transformation does not come through worldly entertainment or fleshly compromise. It comes through prayer, fasting, obedience, worship, and the study of God’s Holy Word.
📖 Romans 12:1-2 (KJV)
“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
The world system promotes rebellion, lust, greed, pride, and self-exaltation. But the Spirit of God calls believers unto humility, righteousness, holiness, and obedience.
The true child of God begins to think differently, speak differently, and walk differently because the Spirit of God is actively reshaping their heart and mind.
⚔️ Crucifying the Flesh and Walking in the Spirit
The battle every believer faces is spiritual. The flesh wars against the Spirit daily.
📖 Galatians 5:16-17 (KJV)
“This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.”
Those who truly belong to Christ are called to crucify sinful desires rather than entertain them.
📖 Galatians 5:24-25 (KJV)
“And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.”
This includes turning away from:
- Sexual immorality
- Pornography
- Fornication
- Adultery
- Bitterness
- Pride
- Drunkenness
- Idolatry
- Worldly compromise
The believer who walks closely with God begins to lose desire for sinful practices because the Holy Spirit changes the inward appetite of the soul.
🌎 Called to Shine in the Midst of Darkness
God never called His people to resemble the darkness around them.
📖 Philippians 2:14-15 (KJV)
“Do all things without murmurings and disputings:
That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world.”
The true Church of Jesus Christ is meant to stand apart from the corruption of the world system. Believers are called to represent the Kingdom of God through holy living, love, truth, purity, and righteousness.
📖 1 Peter 1:15-16 (KJV)
“But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.”

🙏 Final Exhortation to the Viewers
The Lord Jesus Christ is calling His people back unto genuine holiness and sincere repentance. This is not the hour for lukewarm Christianity. It is not the time to compromise with the world system. The Spirit of God is calling believers to rise up as vessels of honor, truth, righteousness, and spiritual purity.
The question every person must ask themselves is this:
Am I truly walking with God, or merely carrying the appearance of religion?
The Lord desires a transformed heart, not empty religious performance.
📖 James 1:22 (KJV)
“But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.”
